God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called! I love this saying! It’s one of my favorites that I’ve heard in the past four and a half years since I got clean. Tomorrow, I will tell my life story at the JFC Brunssum Chapel. I’m getting pretty nervous about now – it’s about 10:30 pm here. But, I trust in the Lord to get me through it. It’s truly amazing when you see God at work in your life, and the ones closely around you. He set up this whole event! He made things fall into place to make this day come about. He has qualified me to stand in front of these people and tell them what He has done in my life. And, I’ll do it with a smile on my face, because He deserves it. He brought me from the bondage of alcohol/drug addiction, and I will tell the whole world about it. When Jesus sets you free, you are free indeed! Amen, Praise God! I’m free! I don’t have to get high today!

The other day I got a letter from the University of Maryland – Europe, stating that I have met the requirements for their computer studies certificate. I’m very happy about this. It is the first of my three educational goals. I don’t lack much in meeting my second goal – an Associate of Arts in computer studies. I should have this degree hopefully by the third quarter in 2008. Then, it will be off to my ultimate dream – a Bachelor’s degree in computer studies. The work I’ve been doing for the last fifteen months is starting to show itself. I thank God for the opportunity He has given me. I don’t deserve it, but that is where His grace is sufficient. Therefore, I am inseparable from His love.

Rom 8:38 (GNB) For I am certain that nothing can separate us from his love: neither death nor life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers or powers, neither the present nor the future,
Rom 8:39 (GNB) neither the world above nor the world below—there is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Wow! What a race track! We went to Francorchamps today to watch a few free races. Man, what a show! It’s not very far from where I live. Sections of the track used to be a real road, but now they are a part of the race track. It’s somewhat different from the racing I’m used to – NASCAR. But I’ll say this – It sure was exciting!

Wilhelm Kempff plays Beethoven

This is my favorite classical composition, and Mr. Kempff plays it with the greatest passion I’ve seen.
